As a clothing brand based on an island, with heath, dunes and forests, we feel the awareness and responsibility for sustainability in the broadest sense.

Pinkorange strives for a completely sustainable production chain, concerning the material that is being used, the manufacturing process, design and also your relation with a piece. Besides, we try to do as much as possible locally. This goes for both the production and the residencies, where the artists stay and work.

Timeless designs and the use of high-quality materials enable a long term use of the pieces.  The design is functional, yet stylish. Our goal is that every item can endure life on the island. This is where every piece is designed.

Pinkorange mainly uses organic cotton, GOTS-certified. Where possible, we go for 100% organic cotton. The fabrics are key in our sustainable products and compliment the timeless designs.

The production of both the material and the clothing is located in Portugal. We carefully selected an organisation with corresponding values. Because of their craftsmanship and know-how, we create every single Pinkorange item in the selected factories.

Local residencies

By offering local artists-in-residences on the island where Pinkorange got started, we want to go back to finding inspiration close to home. Local artists in a local, yet different, space.

Before you wash your Pinkorange item, please pay attention to the care label. Wash inside out to protect the artworks, don’t iron the artwork and wash the piece on 30 degrees. Message us for any specific questions.

How we use our clothing is essential for real sustainability. Therefore Pinkorange encourages passing on pieces that are no longer used. We also recommend visiting your local tailor when something needs fixing. You can always contact us for any advice.
