Jan Kuhlemeier

For our Spring/summer '25 collection, we worked closely with the Dutch artist Jan Kuhlemeier. His approach to painting is about feeling, rhythm, and connection. Inspired by the ocean, surfing, and the layered color shifts of a sunset, Jan uses translucent pigments to build images that seem to float between landscape and emotion.

Jan works with raw materials like gel mediums and acrylics to build translucent soft and textured layers. It’s a slow, intentional process that mirrors the way he moves through the world: observing, reacting, blending in, and translating it all back into color.

We took this mindset into our design process. The collection reflects his visual language in both palette and flow, using color and shape to evoke the same feeling found in his work.

Spring/summer '25 campaign

To shoot the campaign, we went to the port city IJmuiden where industry meets sea. A place Jan knows well from surfing during northwest storms. There’s something both quiet and raw about the location that echoes the energy of this season.
