Daan Rietbergen

For this special capsule collection, Pinkorange teamed up with tennis brand ACE and Utrecht-based artist and graphic designer Daan Rietbergen. Known for his work in visual identity, typography, and poster design, Daan approaches graphic design as a system of rhythm, movement, and composition.

While his practice often lives in the world of type and graphic form, much of its energy comes from observation. During a stay on Vlieland, Daan spent time in the island’s landscape, where one element in particular caught his attention: the wind. Invisible but constantly present, the wind moves through the dunes, grasses, and sea — shaping the environment in subtle but powerful ways.

This idea of movement became the starting point for the collaboration. Back in his studio, Daan translated these impressions into graphic compositions built from lines, direction, and repetition, capturing the rhythm and flow of wind across the landscape.

Together with ACE and Pinkorange, these graphic studies were translated into a capsule collection that brings together three worlds: art, tennis, and clothing. The result balances Daan’s graphic language with the timeless tennis heritage of ACE and Pinkorange’s ongoing dialogue with nature.

Fall/winter '25 campaign

For this campaign, we built a diptych: portraits of the collection alongside still-lifes of seasonal flowers. The idea came from our collaboration with Kamila Sipika, whose work circles back to nature. Placing the collection next to the flowers felt natural; two quiet studies of form, colour, and character, speaking to each other without saying much.
